Hello, you could just wipe it with a cloth and that would be it, but in my opinion it is convenient to give it a little water. The steps would be: apply the degreaser, leave it to act for about 5 minutes and then spray with water (hose down) and finally wipe with a cloth. This is the process that I have used to degrease bike chain. Currently I no longer use it because I lubricate the chain with wax (it dirty less than oil, it stains less and the chain can not be given water and cleaned only with a rag before a new application of wax).

I don´t pour water on it afterwards. I just wait a little, very little, for it to drain and dry and I grease again

Of course, you have to rinse with water and then dry the chain well with a clean, dry cloth.

Well, it depends on what is degreased. If the chain is degreased I would rinse, dry well and then re-grease. If what is going to be degreased is a brake disc, then after applying the product and letting it act, it would simply finish drying with a clean paper.
