Hands don´t hurts anymore. In fact I´m not 100% sure if it´s cause by steam only (a bit thicker tires attached also) but now I can ride my gravel a few hours on wood paths and fire road without cursing. ;)

It works. But, as originally built, not that much. Not enough to justify the extra weight, in my opinion.
The concept is good and the metal parts are well designed.
Unfortunately, the rubber/elastomer is poorly designed: there is no space/allowance to accommodate the necessary elastic deformation.
I had to modify it considerably in order to make it work better (I´m a mechanical engineer): I cut some strategic placed holes in the factory rubber shim in order to allow the necessary expansion and added a modified O-ring to add extra compliance. The mods improved the performance considerably (although still not optimally). I also added an extra O-ring between it and the top steer tube spacer/cap to increase de degree of freedom and avoid interference.
All-in-all, it was good value, taking into account the build quality. It was cheaper than a lot of other much less complicated stems. And I can´t say I realistically feel the weight difference between it and my previous carbon stem (although the weight difference is inevitable). I´d rather carry some extra grams for the extra comfort.

It works, but in a subtle way. It helps to mitigate vibrations in slightly rough terrain. Good quality material, but very heavy compared to a standard table/stem.
