- Downhill wire bead version has 2-ply construction with Stick-E rubber for better grip, and the Cross Country folding bead version is single-ply with Stick-E or DTC rubber for reduced weight

Technology:

Dual Tread Compound (DTC):
- The original dual tread rubber compound for Kenda. A hard long lasting and fast rolling rubber (60sA) comprises the center of the tread area, while a softer-tackier should rubber (50sA) completes this binary compound for the versatility of speed and grip off road. Found typically on cross country, all-mountain and cyclocross tires.

RSR (RSR):
- Kenda’s latest super soft and slow rebounding rubber compound (42 shore A durometer) takes grip and traction to a whole new level. As equally adept at holding onto wet slippery roots as it is on dry hot rubble, all while providing its own form of suspension through rebound control. Developed with the gravity rider in mind and tested by professional downhillers and slalom riders, this race only compound is not your everyday training tire. Found only on Kenda’s premium downhill and freeride tires.

Stick-E (STICK-E):
- Stick-E is Kenda’s original all mountain and downhill rubber compound. The 50sA rubber still provides sure grip for a wide range of trails and conditions while lasting longer than softer compounds. In addition to being used as the shoulder compound on DTC tires, Kenda also offers tires in complete Stick-E compound for the all mountain rider who wants a balanced tire life with a sure grip.

DH-DTC (DH-DTC):
- The DH-DTC compound blends two of Kenda’s best performing offroad compounds for an superior performance that is suitable for the most aggressive of Enduro courses while still being tough enough to tackle downhill tracks. Stick-E (50sA) compound down the center, RSR (42sA) compound across the transition and shoulder knobs.

GCT (GCT):
- The same material as used in SCT casings is laid from bead to bead for protection from punctures, cuts and abrasions. Optimized for tubeless installation.

Downhill Casing (DHC):
- The DHC begins with an added layer of the woven CAP ply under the tread that also covers the sidewalls of the tire down to the bead. This is further reinforced by including butyl inserts above the bead for extra sidewall stability, rim protection, and reducing the chance of pinch flats.

Light Gravity Casing (LGC):
- Complete tire protection designed with the challenges of Enduro and Downhill racing in mind. A super supple 120tpi casing that is sheathed with 3-pieces of casing protection to resist punctures and slashes while being optimized for tubeless ready (TLR) performance. The sidewalls are further supported with a butyl insert for strength and pinch flat resistance. Resulting in a lightweight tire for whatever trail you want to race down.

Hard Pack Dry Terrain (HPDT):
- Best for Hard Pack and Dry Terrain.

Rough Rocky Terrain (RRT):
- Best for Rough and Rocky Terrain.

Light Mud (LM):
- Best for use in light mud.
